I fail to see what difference in impact you mean. Sure, Houston gets a later sunset, but it is still only a relative gain of an hour. Minneapolis gets the same adjustment. How is the adjustment's impact on people's lives any different?
- shagie 4y agoIn northern latitudes, the switch to daylight savings all year round means that you drive to work in complete darkness and get home just after sunset. There is no additional hour of "after work, enjoy the still light evening". The change to permanent daylight savings time has much more support in southern latitudes where the more light after 5pm and tourism has a larger impact on the local economies.
