Not all music is good. Not all the music written during 'Classical Times' was good, only some of it. The good stuff keeps getting played today. The bad stuff has been forgotten. Today's music is not all good, either. In the future, the good stuff will continue to be played, the bad stuff will just peter out and be forgotten, likewise. In the future, some of today's music will be lumped under the 'Classical Music' genre. Just like we see the music from the 1800s being lumped together with music from the 1600s as 'Classical Music'. I'd assume that more than 95% of today's music will just evaporate away, never to be heard again.
