Am in this situation. The 3-4 load isn’t caused by me but is the minimum work necessary to keep the company from crashing and burning. The cause was a cargo cult restructuring that caused enough ceremony, overhead and friction that ingrained expertise left. The company made no effort to retain people either and won’t pay enough to attract new talent.
The solution is simple and will be applied within the next quarter.
- kozinc 4y agoIf you're the one with the 3-4 load, can you rely on the company to hire more people? For the worker, the solution is to find a job with a smaller load. For the company, it's to either to find more people to join or to convince the person who manages the high load to stay on as long as possible.
