- pigeons 4y agoI just read a New York Times article from Noam Chomsky because it was linked on HN in this same HN browsing session where he says the same sentiment about this "new normal" of AI developers restricting their systems from producing interesting output in order to prevent them from offending anyone, and mentions it at least goes back to 2016 Microsoft taybot, so I don't think its that far off base.
