- cyrialize 4y agoI agree. People always talk about technicalities, ingredients, structure, etc. in this argument. For me, the main reason why a hotdog isn't a sandwich is that you can't use the two interchangeably. I would never go up to a hotdog stand and ask for a sandwich.
