Start playing something in Spotify (you can minimize the app afterwards) and Lofi should work as expected. So it's a visualizer, not a player. Can it work without having the Spotify app running? I'm currently using librespot on my headless rpi acting as a spotify-enabled speaker but sometimes it has sync errors, so I'm in the market for alternative tiny players.
