For anyone curious I'm pretty sure he means the vaccine and side effects
- mardifoufs 4y agoI think it's more likely that they are questioning if long covid actually exists/isn't psychosomatic, given the context of the conversation
- therein 4y ago[flagged]
- zzzeek 4y agoseems a strange kind of vaccine side effect that only occurs directly after you contract the actual disease

- squeaky-clean 4y agoWell it's not a gene therapy, so...
- gus_massa 4y agoIt's a real possibility https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antibody-dependent_enhancement https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antibody-dependent_enhancement but it's one of the things that are checked in vaccine candidates before they are authorized for the general public. Quoting Wikipedia: > Prior to the pandemic, ADE was observed in animal studies of laboratory rodents with vaccines for SARS-CoV, the virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). However, as of 27 January 2022 there have been no observed incidents with vaccines for COVID-19 in trials with nonhuman primates, in clinical trials with humans, or following the widespread use of approved vaccines.
- zzzeek 4y agofascinating. that links to a whole page of covid vaccine misinformation. ADE has at least some plausibility for vaccines in general even though it has not been observed with covid 19 vaccines + humans. Poster here used the phrase "gene therapy" though which points it right into "altering human DNA": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_vaccine_misinformation_and_hesitancy#Altering_human_DNA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_vaccine_misinformatio...
- mardifoufs 4y agoThen that doesn't really make sense, even less than usual but alright.
