This is certainly a more accurate and interesting analysis. I’d also like to point out how anti-gentrification activists and wealthy NIMBYs often work towards the same goal. I believe the anti-gentrification activists have the more noble cause, but the net effect is the same. What we are seeing is only a product of extremely high demand meeting an unstoppable (ish) force. The results are not great.
