The "revenge" is people complaining online. I would be curious if there's an increase in proportion of people complaining, or if it's just that more of peoples complaints are part of the searchable internet? I also question the claims of it hurting business: the worst rated businesses are tv, automative, and travel companies all of which have been considered awful since I was a kid, and all of which are businesses where you don't actually have any real choice over who you use.
