It just doesn't happen Depends on the datacenter. I work in a large testing environment, so equipment is being moved and parts are being swapped out all the time. The cabling needs to be nice enough that you have good airflow, can see all of the components, and to make swapping parts easier. Perfection isn't necessary but cleanliness makes life easier.
