Big, meaningful shareholders of stock personally request CEOs to fire people for bigger profits. I'm not sure they care one bit because someone is being an asshole. Edit: And I'm not suggesting this should be a normalized thing. Just that it's unfortunate how greed trumps any sort of regular decorum.
