This is where YC's motto "Build something people want" is helpful.
You can live by the advice you're giving, but if it doesn't end with you having built something people actually want, you won't have a viable business (if that is indeed your goal)
- barnabee 4y agoI agree. For me the journey has definitely been that learning about and working on things that interest me and I care about eventually presented the opportunity to have a shot at a viable business, rather than some innate desire to create a business that works no matter what (which, rightly or wrongly, I look down on a bit!)
