Why not? The microphones wouldn't be everywhere, just in specific places where people like to go to socialize. Say a study room at Uni for example... imagine all the "good knowledge" we are missing by not recording every single word students say at Uni and making it publicly searchable. Right? Even if you could always go to another Uni, it's still annoying and bad.
