The article both praises and dismisses the Apple TV. It is by far the best box and I have tried a lot of them. It isn’t even close. You don’t need to like or use Apple anything else for it to work and work to its full potential. The grid of icons are great. It is easy to understand and use. The remote is good as well and works seamlessly with most TVs. There are no ads and the interface is well designed and thought through. It is also fast and because it is based on iOS all the apps are well supported. So if you discount the Apple TV all of the streaming boxes suck, but there is really no reason to cast it aside.
