I'm a bit of both. And it often depends on who I'm interacting with/how comfortable I am with the person. With some people talking through ideas is easy - they understand that way of thinking and know that when you are talking it's a work in progress and not the final idea. Other people it's more tricky. When you say something they interpret as the conclusion of a lot of deep thinking and will assume you are a complete ass when you trot out some half formed idea. You just need to learn how other people work to make sure you don't mess things up.
