- LeonB 4y agoI think you’re right - and I appreciate the answers (including Dang’s) — had they won big on their gamble they would be putting it down to luck. I feel that people taking out variable loans at 1% and hoping it won’t go to 4% aren’t as reckless as a gambler, and in hindsight it’s pretty easy to lecture them, but I don’t take any joy in it.
