This stuff makes me nervous about the Internet Archive. For instance, the hundreds of playable video games, all of which are also downloadable: https://archive.org/details/miscconsoles https://archive.org/details/miscconsoles I don't know how someone like Nintendo hasn't sued their pants off.

The Internet Archive is a "library", which, in the US, enjoy extra privileges under copyright law.

  The amount of basic confusion about civics and, well, anything constitutional — something has to be done before it all withers away like waterlogged saplings in a swamp of agitation and indifference.
