Why not just use GitLab?
- bawolff 4y agoPresumably because that crowd is big into decentralization, and just having anyone being able to host a gitlab instance doesn't quite fit their vision of decentralization (decentralization is an ambigious term and almost everyone who uses it means something different)
- leesalminen 4y agoMy understanding in that this case, decentralized Github means the ability to have the social features around a git repo that Github provides (Issues, PRs, Discussions) but can't be banned due to the decision of a single actor.
