Whenever I hear an argument like this it makes me wonder how in touch with reality some people are. On hot days why don't men just don't wear pants and walk around with their dicks hanging out all day? There's no difference here, and overall you'll be cooler temperature wise then having to drape an extra piece of clothe called "shorts" over your crotch area. It's the rational thing to do.
