Have you tried connecting with local universities first and researchers and professors there? It's an approach we've been taking in the neurotech space, though there is quite a bit of neurotech in Sydney, Australia, the companies are a bit harder to get in with compared to the universities, but of course, the university graduates end up working for the companies, so it can help expand your network.
