so sad to see some of the grammar being really off in this otherwise pretty insightful piece: "them selves" instead of "themselves" is but one of many examples.

so sad to see some of the grammar being really off in this otherwise pretty insightful piece: "them selves" instead of "themselves" is but one of many examples. I would otherwise forward it more...

- sharas- 4y agoThank you poloitics. Fixed "them selves" error. Any more mistakes standout?
- polotics 4y agoA sentence like: """they change their minds and mess up the clean code ...that a Playground dev already imagineared with him self.""" should be rewritten, for example: """...that a "Playground Developer" already conceived."""
- sharas- 4y agoImagineering is what nerds like to do in their clean playgrounds without involving messy users. It's a thing.
- polotics 4y agoNeologisms like "simplisti’fy" are maybe ok in certain nerd circles, but they make the write-up less readable for the most important target audience: actual users of these badly designed "playground IT" systems.
- sharas- 4y agoI don't like it myself. But I want to differentiate "simplify" as in remove non essential complexity, from solving the problem naively, simplistically. Which is what a simple minded go-getter manager does. Lots of accidental complexity from nerd toys gets added in the process. So pretty much the opposite of simplifying.
- polotics 4y agoYou're looking for the German verb "Verschlimmbessern" :-)
- polotics 4y agofor example what is "though-stuff"? is it thoughts, or tough concepts, or did you mean something else?
- polotics 4y agowith "is a right of passage" you definitely meant: "is a rite of passage"
- yold__ 4y agowitch (incorrect), rather than which
- sharas- 4y agothank you kindly - fixed
