Senior devs aren’t paid peanuts.
Execs are paid more than senior devs, often by obscene amounts.
Many senior devs are still sufficiently out of touch to think that this means they deserve more rather than execs deserving less.
Silicon Valley and California in general just make it all the more silly.
This whole thing smells like an attempt to light a fire. At best. Very well.

I agree, senior developers are not really taking all the risks of starting business / startup. They have traded that for taking a senior dev salary and tiny stock options.
