I made a free web UI for ChatGPT API so you all don't have to
- felixbade 4y agoYou have probably heard about ChatGPT’s API [1] and how it is way cheaper than ChatGPT Plus. However, you are a human, so you need a UI to use the API – here you go. Features: - The website connects directly to OpenAI’s API using your own API key – you don’t need a web server, and I don’t take a markup. - Doesn’t log out frequently like the official ChatGPT web UI – the API key is strored in the browser’s localStorage. - Can be added to the phone’s home screen as an ”app” (iOS + Android). I even made an app icon with DALL•E. There is no chat history at the moment, but I’m planning to add that next. Feel free to put feature requests in the issues [2], or to fork and add your own features. Ps. kudos to the team at OpenAI for creating such developer friendly APIs! I was genuinely surprised that they allow cross-site requests to begin with. - trenchgun 4y agoLooks good! PS. Nice domain
- felixbade 4y agoThanks! :D I had more one-off project domains than I’m ready to admit, but then one day I realised I can buy a generic project domain that is 1) cheaper 2) thus possible to maintain longer 3) reduces decision-fatigue from new projects as I only need to choose one subdomain and not weigh cool TLDs vs price.
