Tell HN: YouTube red is increasing subscription price by 53%
From $14.99 per month to $22.99 per month
- tus666 4y agoHasn't it been called YT Premium for close to 10 years? Announcement link? I have been paying 10/month AUD for all that time, this would be disappointing if true.
- 999900000999 4y agoStill worth it assuming you use it for music too. Let's hope they grandfather some of us in, I've been with them since Google Music

- Nextgrid 4y agoSponsorBlock, uBlock Origin and/or Invidious remain free and tracking-free as always.
- speedgoose 4y agoI heard from a Google employee that you can get a much lower price if you use a VPN exiting in a South American country only when you subscribe, while keeping your normal account and credit card. But I don’t want to try as I don’t want to risk my Google account being closed.
