> USPS spokespeople Sue Brennan and Tatiana Roy declined to comment and referred our email to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, or USPIS, the law enforcement arm of USPS, which provided TechCrunch with a boilerplate statement — some of which repeated itself — but did not say how the U.S. Postal Service planned to prevent change of address fraud. USPIS sent its response from a general unnamed email address, and repeatedly declined to provide a spokesperson’s name when asked by TechCrunch, despite being standard practice for reporters to ask. When reached by email, USPIS’ Ariana Ramirez also declined to provide the name of the department’s media spokesperson.
The USPS is the worst.
We had video of a USPS delivery vehicle in our driveway (against USPS policy) causing all kinds of damage to our property, as well as the delivery vehicle. The serial number of the vehicle was clearly visible. We tried a few different ways to get them to do something about it (it was an ongoing problem). We finally gave up and put a few boulders in strategic places. The boulders have gotten some dents, but that seems to have solved the problem.
We had another on-going problem where the delivery person would refuse to put mail in our mail box if there was anyone parked on the street within 50 feet of the mailbox. We finally got a supervisor to come out and take a look - they backed up the delivery person. That one finally retired, and now we randomly get other people's mail, while other people get ours randomly.

Fedex often leaves my packages next to the road, UPS has delivered a smashed up box with paint flowing out (and has no way to call them), and Walmart parks in my driveway for 20 minutes while they try to figure out what is mine and where they're going next. I've had multiple companies mark things as delivered, and then bring them the next day (presumably to meet a quota). Last mile delivery sucks in general, depending on the specific drivers and how much they're being squeezed. But I'm happy multiple options exist, which includes USPS. For example, USPS's options for sending small packages at reasonable prices, without a negotiated account, is clutch for individuals and small businesses.
