Having stored some old closet doors on the porch near a small urban road for a few months, this was my first thought. The grime that accumulated from exhaust was incredible. (There were leaf blowers running across the way a couple times a week, so I'm guessing those were the main culprit.)
Things turn dingy in the city remarkably fast. Cleaner cars and elimination of two-stroke engines will help, but for now I think that for most exterior uses, "resists smog" will be more important than "starts out very white" unless you clean it frequently and thoroughly.
