It's not quite envy, it's expectations. It's like being at a dinner party full of people dressed up to the nines while you're just there in a clean but unremarkable shirt and blazer. You can genuinely like everybody at the table, you'll still feel an undercurrent of discomfort. And that dinner party lasts 24/7.
