It is interesting that as we continue to pursue AGI, that it begins to look more and more like us. It seems to be a paradox of sorts. Humanity wants to escape its flaws, attempts to build AI and ends reproducing itself with all the flaws. It has been fascinating watching the development as interesting emergent deceptive behaviors arise unexpectedly as just recently discovered. It feels like we are caught in some twisted circle of reality folding back onto itself.
