But WHY any increase in pedestrian deaths? Where is that discussed?
1. A aging set of drivers?
2. self-driving cars?
3. decaying road and sidewalk infrastructure?
4. daylight savings?
5. public transportation used by or available to fewer pedestrians?

- rgmerk 4y agoAs said elsewhere, one likely contributor is pickup trucks getting higher, leading to a bigger frontal blind spot and more severe injuries when they hit people.
