AFAIK `stc` only does type-checking, it does not compile TS to JS and has no ambition of becoming an LSP.
`swc` by the same author does compiling, but not type-checking.
From what I understand it's common in the TypeScript world to do type-checking and compiling separately because the tooling is terrible and doing both sequentially results in pretty bad performance.
- root_axis 4y agoYeah, compiling is basically a solved problem, type-checking is where 90% of the complexity lives.
