I don’t understand. Isnt this completely normal? I am pretty sure rejecting PRs is a totally acceptable maintainer behaviour?

  Selectively it is, rejecting low quality updates and so forth, but some take exception to projects that reject all or ask for them not to be sent in the first place.

  A not insignificant number of people consider rejecting their PR to be a direct personal attack.
