I Was Shot While Reporting on the Ukraine War – Some Doubt My Story
- brucethemoose2 4y agoWhat always surprises me about these stories is the confidence of the accusers. Its not just that misinformation is being amplified... but people seem to believe they are more of an expert on things than actual experts or witnesses.
- Mountain_Skies 4y agoOr they believe many experts and witnesses have extra motive to lie about things.
- sharemywin 4y agoand actually lack integrity. but I would suspect that if you've spent the time to become an expert that you wouldn't want to blow your reputation over lies. To me the more confidence one conveys in something non-trivial the more likely they aren't really an expert.
- brucethemoose2 4y agoAnd then they turn around and blindly trust some source/group that has a clear conflict of interest and/or lack of expertise... I just think people should be more humble.
- rasz 4y agoBecause he was "shot at" and afair hurt his nose/horehead in the car crash, but news sites ran with "journalist shot, look at all the blood". Edit: I had to find original video. He claimed to be shot in the back, while standing with no visual pain, right after footage of him running normally. Why not turn 180 and show the bullet hole presumably in the vest? This is what triggered all the theories at the time.
