Well, he said it was appropriate to study only politics and war "in a young Country, as yet simple and not far advanced in Luxury", which hardly describes Ukraine!
- philwelch 4y agoUkraine became independent in 1991 and has a per capita GDP PPP of less than $15,000 as of 2021 compared to over $57,000 in Germany and over $69,000 in USA, so it is a young country with seemingly little ability to afford material luxury.
