And Microsoft has been on the other side of this with third party skype users, too.
- tripdout 4y agoAnd that means Microsoft is the problem, not the third party chat service!
- nebula8804 4y agoAfter nearly 24 years we have come full circle: Here is an episode of Silicon Spin featuring John C Dvorak (yes that John C Dvorak) from ZDTV (yes that ZDTV) discussing the issue. I remember seeing this live when I was in elementary school lol [1]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcJBXgmdX44 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcJBXgmdX44 Wonder what happened to all these 'pundits' :) [EDIT]: LOL @ 5:50 "Coming up on Silicon Spin, streaming is free but how long will THAT last?!"
- sjoerger 4y agoDvorak is at least still around doing "stuff". I have never listened to his podcast. https://www.noagendashow.net/john-c-dvorak https://www.noagendashow.net/john-c-dvorak
- TSUTiger 4y agoDid you guys read the article? It just transmits messages the same way your car would when connected to Bluetooth.
- Macha 4y agoSure, Windows is using an API designed for cars rather than reverse engineering the protocol. It's still true that Apple do not want iMessage on competitor platforms. There's a non-zero chance they lock down this API further in response.
