Sometimes Less Is More: Censorship, News Falsification, and Disapproval
- rurban 4y agoWhich would explain the extreme amount of press criticism and government problems during the Covid crisis. Government demanded the press to silence scientific criticism on their damage control strategy, whilst by themselves publishing extreme misinformation and doing active censoring on all channels. E.g. censoring and ridiculing Ioannidis over the measured virus's fatality rate of about 0.2%, vs the official government numbers of 3%. His wikipedia is still full of such government propaganda and misinformation. Of course people got concerned and the extremists had their numbers exploding ("Luegenpresse"), causing proper Covid countermeasures to misfire. Such as fear of vaccinations and even whole countries blowing up (Brazil, US, Russia). Politicians and government officials never admit to mistakes, only scientists do. The press sometimes admits, but mostly their damage control is easier to accomplish.
