It feels like the world is splitting in two... On one side is a world where anyone can download any book for free. On the other side is a world where all books, textbooks, and journals are available exclusively from Amazon/Pearson/Elsevier and can only be read with a crappy official app (or device) and an active Internet connection. Either way, I suppose the big losers are authors.
