read the TOS. i dont know how many times it needs to be said, but at the end of the day the EULA and TOS for kindle and amazon books is a RENTAL agreement (and a pretty awful one at that.) the question that has to be settled by the courts (if ever) is whether or not "buy" button is a bait-and-switch if Amazon reserves the right to rescind your purchase at any time without a refund.
