Obviously quoting it would be -- kind of ballsy in an academic essay -- but drawing that line at least means that the cases where it's obviously awesome are (and should be) fair-game, even in formal writing: - a thesaurus - an organizational resource - a creativity tool - a summary expert that can lower F-K scores
