- e-clinton 4y agoSo is the entire world. Fairly childish move on their part
- lloydatkinson 4y agoWho cares.
- oneeyedpigeon 4y agoI always assumed it was the traffic burst people were trying to avoid — you really think the HN crowd is more toxic than the average internet user?
- input_sh 4y ago10 days ago someone did a Show HN for an old-school forum. If you go through the comments you'll see the author had to switch to manually approving new accounts almost immediately because people from here started posting racial slurs. So, yeah, I can absolutely see why some people might wanna do things like this. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34829076 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34829076

- lloydatkinson 4y agoYes absolutely - HN is consistently one of the places that hates on specific libraries and technologies far more than the wider internet. If you speak in favour of them you get comments questioning your experience and skills. It's horrible.
- andrepd 4y agoTbf that's a pretty low bar to clear.
