Why did you not ask for the payment first before printing the logo on everything?
- brink 4y agoI'd guess this is the first time this has happened. Don't be mad at t3chfest for trusting couchbase, be mad at couchbase for breaking trust.
- pluc 4y agoLittle quick for the blame game, how about you try and find out why Couchbase withdrew their sponsorship in the first place
- hgsgm 4y agoHow about you? Are you suggesting the Tech fest Twitter account is lying, impersonated, or hacked?
- cramjabsyn 4y agoAre you?
- hgsgm 4y agoCouchbase confessed. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34959458 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34959458
- yladiz 4y agoAre you suggesting it’s any other reason than Couchbase didn’t want to pay for the sponsorship anymore? Is there a statement from Couchbase about this? If not I’ll err on the side of trusting the conference over them and effectively blame them.

- yladiz 4y agoThanks, taking that reply at face value means I'm wrong that it was only about money. It is still a pretty shitty thing to do at the 11th hour, there are many better ways Couchbase could have approached this.
- bovermyer 4y agoRegardless of the reason for it, this is a dick move. How you think it's acceptable to withdraw sponsorship in this timeframe baffles me.
