I'd wait and see what the reviews are like. If we were in late 2013, I would have no problem recommending my old mid 2013 Air for iOS dev, that thing was my daily driver for 7 years. My current Air is the 2020 model, quad core i7 and it struggles to even open xcode without taking off. I'd vote wait and see how the new one performs before jumping in, otherwise go a Pro.
