Not if women are dating older men, or if there is a gendered difference in the way people interpret the question (ie: what the definition of single is). Probably some combination.
- geysersam 4y agoThen older single women should be more common than older single men. Damn, it's so tough for the older women out there in the cutthroat dating world. Why don't young single men start dating older women?
- TheLoafOfBread 4y agoFrigidity
- luckylion 4y agoMost women are looking for a partner of equal or higher standing, and sex isn't a primary concern. A 20yo man has little to offer to a 40yo woman besides being close to his peak fitness, which she cares little for.
- ashwagary 4y agoIn the reverse, a 40yo woman has little to offer a young or old man looking for a serious relationship that will eventually lead to having children.
- luckylion 4y agoCertainly, but if 60% of men < 30 aren't having sex, I'm not sure they'd reject a 40yo woman's advances just because she might be too old to have children.
- t-3 4y agoShe has a lot to offer a young man looking for a casual relationship though. Generally lot more fun than the young ones, and no bullshit or games either.

- t-3 4y agoNo, not really IMO. Women generally get more attractive after having one or two kids. Health and grooming might decrease with age though.
- zztop44 4y agoThis reads like sarcasm, but I don’t really understand it. Is the cutthroat dating world not tough for the older single women out there?
- geysersam 4y agoThe irony is that nobody complains young guys are too picky to date old women. But the subtext I'm reading in many comments here is that young women are too picky to date young guys.
- Al-Khwarizmi 4y ago> Then older single women should be more common than older single men. Which is true, if you count widows as single women.
