Why nickel? I can't find an explanation on this page, maybe it's simply ease of manufacturing.
Iron is the most stable element, but I suppose this is mostly irrelevant at the kind of scales we are talking about.
- marsten 4y agoNickel is chemically and mechanically durable and doesn't easily oxidize like iron does.
