There is something to the older ads, more effort went into them, however, I would venture that in this case, it's because the old ads are not ads to you, they're genuine curiosities in and of themselves.
- kevin_thibedeau 4y agoQuarter, half, and full page ads carry useful information. You get to control how much time you linger on them before proceeding to another part of the publication. Now we get an invasive tracking link that wants to force it's way into our lives whether we want it or not. It's all just an inducement with no information.
