- f311a 4y agoNew phone does not mean the same model. New phone usually has more features and a newer version of Android. That’s how consumers usually think about the benefits of a new phone I guess. Very few people care about sustainability.
- yazzku 4y agoCan't argue with "few people care", but I'm just not sure what "new features" or other nonsense you'd be getting. I think much of the new phone-buying, Apple fanboys aside, is that carriers make it easy to constantly upgrade with "$0" upgrade plans (where you basically end up paying the full cost of the phone anyway.) Legislation to ban or shape this kind of advertising could be beneficial to reduce e-waste.
