The progression is towards cloud provisioning, software configuration, software testing, systems configuration management, and SOIC design. The "revolution" will be in the capture and specification of requirements and evolution through micro user feedback. Perhaps some systems will be able to immediately apply a bug fix should a user notice something is "wrong".
