The weird part of the article for me was learning that the police in Thailand can randomly drug test monks or does that apply to anyone?

  Pretty common to do drug tests in SE Asia. I know Vietnam, Singapore will also do it. A bunch of police enter a club, seize any drugs they find and then drug test everyone. It's a crime to test positive on a drug test.

    Not common to drug test in Myanmar.

      Testing positive is a fail :| One would also want negative results for aids, Covid, herpes, and bunch of others!
