- rozgo 4y agoThat’s exactly right. We, just another games and simulation studio, are implementing LLMs in several games and engines. For dialog systems, hero journeys, behavior trees and techart pipelines. Most do not even expose a chatbot to the player, LLMs are also used for game systems to chatter among themselves.

- vlunkr 4y agoThe challenge is making it fun. I'd compare it to procedural generation. There are some big success stories there, and lots of games where it just generates infinite bland content.
- compyman 4y agoI think this really underrates the 15 years of work that has gone into creating interlocking systems to generate geography, civilizations, people, artifacts, emotions, poetry, &c, &c. Especially because you can see, often, what specific historical events or personal events are impacting your dwarfs frame by frame. So on the contrary I DF is an example of how creative & human generative algorithms can be, you can't get anything as rich as DF with LLMs (currently at least, I guess)
- haolez 4y agoI meant it as a compliment :)
