I am surprised that no one is talking about Hiroshima and its possible impact on Japan’s falling birth rate. The Axis countries of Germany, Japan and Italy have particularly steep declines in population with current generations simply unwilling to procreate. To not consider the impact of WW2 is a mistake. It’s not about fertility, it is about being defeated.
