- thewildginger 4y agoI have no admiration nor pity for a billionaire inheritor who's used their wealth to try to delay the mass psychosis that is a symptom of capitalism. She can eat my behind and call me mommy and I still would not care. The day she starts a workers co-op, a Marxist book group or a coffee klatch for civil rights groups and union reps then I might be impressed or have some sense of respect. Until then this whole article reeks of repugnance. This whole article is a neoliberal wet dream lacking any kind of self awareness. I thought this was a substack parody piece that was supposed to make you chuckle with it's serious tone about California hippie ideas about love and peace while still doing nothing to fix core problems. She lives, we sleep, don't forget to wear your sunglasses.

- juliusgeo 4y ago> “She’s never said or done anything to distance herself from her family,” Hilary Plum, an author and academic, wrote in Fence, a nonprofit literary magazine. Kind of buried the lede here…and then this point is never addressed again. > “I was skeptical when I met her,” Ms. Gregorian added. “And then I just opened up to her, as if she had hypnotized me.” I very much wish the article gave us the pleasure of reading some of the arguments that Ms Koch made that ameliorated her family’s funding of climate change denial. Enjoy the profits of climate change for ~40 years, rebrand once you’ve made your money—kinda genius.
